On April 30th and March 28th, two vocal works by Alberto were performed at Parroquia Sagrados Corazones in Guaynabo: Ave María, perfomed by Melliangee Pérez and Himno de las Hijas Católicas de Puerto Rico, performed by sisters María José and María Teresa Cursio. Pianist was Harry Aponte.
Last April 22, Alberto performed his work Héroes with flutist Darwin Cosme as part of the concert Sonoridades. They also performed Piazzolla´s Histoire du Tango.
Alberto moderated a composers forum for the VII Simposio de Investigación Musical at the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico, that was dedicated to Héctor Campos Parsi and Amaury Veray.
Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra commissioned a new work by Alberto, In Memoriam Penderecki, to celebrate late Krzysztof Penderecki´s life and work. The premiere took place on March 26th as part of a special concert in honor of Penderecki. Score and parts will be available very soon at http://www.starmusicpublishing.com
